ABOUT THE BOOK

Welcome to Walnut Creek, Ohio, where Orley and Lois Troyer own an antique store they call “Memory Keepers.” Though knowledgeable in antiques and their repair, their real talent is in mentoring folks who are hurting and don’t even know it. Enter Jeff, a restaurateur, and Rhonda, a hotel manager, who recently moved to Amish country for the slow pace, but the change of scenery puts even more stress on their already strained marriage. Will an antique sled be the last straw, or will it lead to unexpected revelations and the fulfillment of dreams?

MY REVIEW

This first book in the newest series from Wanda really kept my interest from beginning to end. I enjoyed how their were subtle hints of Orley and Lois’ faith shared with Jeff and Rhonda but it wasn’t every time they saw the couple and it didn’t feel like the Troyer’s were shoving their faith onto the couple. It was almost like a mystery when they each accepted Christ into their hearts but didn’t know the other had done so, also. I was so intrigued about how they were going to end up telling each other. This story showed how married couples face trials and can be distanced from each other but how accepting Christ and letting him help you work on your marriage can help you turn things around. It was very encouraging for a young married woman like myself.
